Since photographing some great examples of graffiti in Manchester and Salford, I was keeping my eyes open for walls of Barcelona’s street art that I had heard so much about. Here I used a 18mm wide angle lens, so I could get nice and close to the walls and not get trees or street furniture such as signs or benches in my shots. As a result the straight lines of the wall are a little distorted (something that I could easily correct in Photoshop) but I choose to leave it as it came out of the camera. The colours of the spray paint are what drew my eye and made me capture this image.
