When I returned to Alnmouth Harbor I was very pleased to see Scallywag still sat there on the beach. Mark had a great idea of getting a photograph of this boat really low and with a wide angle lens, but I wanted to explore more of my painting with light techniques. Waiting till after the sun had set, but just before the sky turned black, I put the camera on my tripod and ran around the boat (flash gun in hand) firing light at all angles throughout a long exposure. The above image shows my favourite attempt at this technique.
