This was taken on the banks of the River Swale in the Yorkshire Dales earlier this year. The blue is a reflection from the sky; originally the image was captured with a strong brown tint to the water which I selectively desaturated to focus on the blue colours. I thought that the diagonal line created by this small waterfall gave your eyes something to look along from the lower left corner through the to rocks in the background.
