Ever had someone sit down to teach you how to use Adobe Photoshop? Well it rarely happens to me, but this picture relates to an embarrassing story about being taught how to use the ‘shop! I was on a photographic holiday with my local photo club and was going through my days pictures on my laptop. On my right side was a new member to the group and the other side of me was a veteran photographer (not going to mention any names).
Anyway the guy on my left saw this photo and though he would show us two new comers how to move the rock. I knew that the new member would be interested in knowing this, but I knew how to do it. So do I sound cocky and say “I know how to do that, its easy” or do I keep my mouth shut. Well, as a person who loves to listen, I let him carry on. As with many things in Photoshop, I learnt a different way to do the same thing. Neither way was better, but the more you know the better equipped you are in future.
I had taken the photograph originally with the rock in the middle of the frame, so we moved it to the right third, thus improving the composition of the photograph.
