This is one of the final puffin photos in my series of images captured on the Farne Islands. That day I must have taken hundreds and hundreds of photos to get less than half a dozen sharp pictures. Here we see a puffin stood outside his burrow with sand eels in his beak, about to dash inside to feed his young. Puffins (like rabbits) live in burrows under the ground and they also pair up for life (unlike rabbits).
