The modern white and glass office building is Penrose Dock with the much smaller and older Penrose House in front of it, home to the Youth Health Service. This area on the north side of the River Lee is Penrose Quay in the Victorian Quarter of Cork. This was the closest I got to this part of the city but somewhere I’d definately make time to explore on my next time. I’d like to learn more about the history of the Port of Cork. I was walking from the city centre to the Marina Market. This photograph was taken from Kennedy Quay.
