There are place name signs like this one in many corners of the globe. I always wonder who chose the place names. This example was found on the main street on the island of Phi Phi Don. In the past few weeks I have only been to one of the places on this list, but I am planning to visit at least two or three more in the coming months (only you can guess which ones they maybe). I felt that the hotel / restaurant in the background was a little distracting, so processed the final photograph in black and white to make the signs more readable.
