This was taken at my parents’ last summer, but I have little idea about what flower this is; maybe one of you reading this might know. My ignorance is bliss when it comes to horticulture, all I know is what I see; this is a pink flower and I like the way it stands out against the dark green background.

I believe it could be a Camellia. I’m from Louisiana and it’s a staple southern flower with a great smell for the garden. I’m enjoying your photos, by the way.
