Pai Plong Bay is a very sacluded beach just around the corner from Ao Nang in Krabi. The only way to access it is by boat or for the adventurous types the Monkey Trail. In 2006 the Centara Grand Beach Resort and Villas were built in the rocks behind the beach and so I had to actually “sign in” with the security in order to get access to this view. Still it was worth the walk to have this 500 metre stretch of white sand all to myself. The resort’s guests seemed more interested in sun bathing by the pools.
