I spent the day in Northampton visiting family. It was an early start and a long drive. We just went down for the day and came back up north early evening. It was really nice as we got into the town centre early so I went into the centre and took a few quick photos, the weather wasn’t as nice as it has been over the past few days but it was still interesting. I love the architecture of All Saints Church in the image below.
It’s bank holiday Monday today which means we all had the day off from college and work. So we went down to Nantwich to visit my Grandparents. Although on the journey down it was raining the weather did clear up and after a lovely roast diner we all went for a nice drive in the country. We stopped at Audlem, I took a few photos of the small village and the canal. Luckily the lighting was quite nice and I thought I would share this image of St. James Church.
This morning I got up early and headed over to Flixton. This was the 25th Anniversary of the May Day Steam Rally at Abbotsfield Park in Flixton. The weather yesterday was really sunny but sadly I couldn’t go then, so I had to make it this morning instead. There was a light rain in the air and there were a lot of photographic distractions. I got a few photos of various fair graphics but I thought I would share this photo with you. The picture shows about half a dozen Traction Engines steaming up.
It has been planned for a few weeks, in actual fact I was meant to go to the zoo back in October but because of the weather I didn’t. So I decided just to go whatever the weather. Claire packed a great picnic and headed out to Chester. There was a light rain which died down soon after lunch. I took over a hundred photos but nothing really special. I like this photo below but it’s a pity you can’t see this male Sea Lions eyes.
