View from the grounds of Larnach Castle looking north towards Broad Bay and the small village of Portobello. With 35 acres of grounds to explore, Larnach Castle is worth a visit for its extensive gardens alone. Being on the top of a hill gives the estate fantastic views of the coast on three sides. It was almost by accident that I ended up at the castle and very nearly turned back when I found that there was an entry cost. It was fortunate that I had a sane friend with me who insisted we went in. Well worth the small cost for this view alone.
