Taken from Hartley Quay the above photograph shows the new Museum of Liverpool which is to be opened on Tuesday 19th July 2011. This unique building on the waterfront is going to reflect the city’s global significance through its unique geography, history and culture (according to their website). Interestingly the huge picture window we see which measures 8 metres high and 28 metres wide can become a cinema screen for large waterfront events. I look forward to returning to the city to capture the finished building at dusk or even at night.
