Moturakau is one of 22 islands in Aitutaki. This photograph is one of my favourites from my 8 days in the Cook Islands. I visited Moturakau on the Vaka Cruise which took me to a number of the more famous islands on a full day trip around the lagoon. On the horizon is the smaller island of Rapota. These islands were used in the British reality TV series Shipwrecked as well as the American series Survivor. Both islands are uninhabited and about 100 metres across in both directions.
