One of the most popular tourist stops on the drive south to Dunedin. I stopped at the Moeraki Boulders briefly on my first drive around the South Island in 2012. It was during the day and there were dozens of tourists. For years I wanted to visit at night. Last year I made it happen and booked a nights AirBnB in the tiny fishing village of Moeraki. As you can see there was a cloudy sky that night. This was taken about 11pm at night. One day I would like to photograph this location with a clear starry nights sky. The highlight of this photoshoot was meeting another photographer and sharing stories and other favourite photo locations in the area.
