The reflection of Mitre Peak on the waters of Milford Sound are very spectacular in the morning. I’ve been here a few times now and it never gets boring. Photographs of this view were one of the main reason I chose to visit New Zealand back in 2012. It was at the end of that year I first visited Milford Sound. It was a clear blue sky day which was great. However on my most recent view there were a few clouds over the Southern Alps. I also got as low as I could to the waters edge and included a few of the round rocks to the left of the composition. I feel these decisions have all made for a much better photograph. Take a look at the Milford Sound photograph I took just over 10 years ago. Do you agree the above is an improvement?
