This is the third photograph from last Wednesday’s walk and probably my favourite of the day. There is something about moving vehicle that makes me want to take their picture; trains, boats, planes, trams – it just interests me. I ride the Metrolink tram most weeks from Manchester to Altrincham and find although it is expensive and sometimes crowded the service is reliable and a great asset for the city. St. Peter’s Square is my local Metrolink tram stop, in the background (behind the tram) you can see Central Library. Oxford Road runs to the right of where I was standing and the Midland Hotel is just next to me on the left. I think the reason this photograph appeals to me is the modern style of the tram against the traditional architecture of the buildings behind. On a side note, Happy Easter everybody, enjoy the chocolate.
