Taken at Salford Quays looking down the walkway of the bridge towards The Lowry and the shopping centre whilst stood at the opposite end of the Millennium Bridge. This bridge can be seen in a number of my photographs and goes over the Manchester Ship Canal. The large structures at the end of the bridge are to enable the bridge to rise up for ships to pass in to the quay.
It was back in October when this photograph was taken and it was my first trip to this area at night – I feel it will soon be time to revisit and capture some of the other interesting parts of The Quays. Many of the modern apartments and office buildings have very interesting lighting on them at night and I found that the whole place had a different look and feel.
