There are dozens of examples of more traditional architecture in Manchester’s city centre, but usually we tend not to look up above the glass store fronts. This is an example that came from just keeping my eyes open. I think that the statue just below the Lloyds TSB sign would make a fantastic record photograph, but due to this being on the corner of Cross Street and King Street there are buildings just where I would want to put my tripod (I know, how inconsiderate to my photography). Joking aside, you just have to work with what’s there and I felt this was the best I could get at the time. I am sure I will go back another day for a second attempt.
