Taken on my first photo shoot in Wales this year, the above photograph shows part of the sea wall with the pier and beach in the background. Llandudno has been a place I have wished to photograph for a few years and this is possibly my favourite picture of the day. However technically it was extremely tricky to control the large contrast in the light levels between the bottom and top parts of the image. After a couple of bad test shots it ended up being the pop-up flash on the camera that saved this composition from being deleted. This lit up the wall but allowed me to keep the main part of the photograph correctly exposed.
