Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral

After parking on the Brownlow Hill side of Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral, I walked up the steps and this is the sight that greeted me. From this angle you can see why the locals have nicknamed it “Paddy’s Wigwam” and the “Mersey Funnel”. It’s a Grade II listed building and was built between 1962 and 1967. It is the back of the Cathedral, presumably where open air masses can be held.
