Lake Manapouri

Taken early one morning, it makes a big difference to the look of the water. At this time of day there is no wind and so the water is very still. This still expanse of blue highlights the small rocks in the foreground. Aotearoa is the Maori name for New Zealand. It means the land of the long white cloud. The magical way the line of clouds appear in front of the mountain range on the opposite side of the lake was spectacular.
