Lake Bala reflection

Having visited Lake Bala many times this was some of the best weather I’ve had. Photographing the lake in the afternoon makes it nearly impossible to capture a reflection on the water of the lake. Seeing this lone tree with a large puddle in front I thought it could make the reflection I was looking for. This was a test of a new wide angle lens I had just purchased. I like the way the small bits of grass in the foreground are really blurred. I had to get my camera really close to the water for this shot. It is certainly an improvement over a previous Lone tree at Bala Lake from back in 2009. At some point in the next few years I must stay nearby over night so that I can come down to the lake shore for a sunrise. Lake Bala is a special place for myself and my family so I will be sure to be back as often as I can.
