La Zappa is a tapas restaurant and wine bar in the centre of Auckland. Inside it is styled like a New York industrial warehouse but it’s outdoor area at the back is certainly what makes the bar worth visiting. I remember one of my first nights out with friends was at La Zappa. I obviously didn’t take my camera then but did take a quick snap of the Skytower between the fairy lights as a note to return with my DSLR camera. A few weeks ago I was looking for a few ideas of what could make for an interesting view of the Skytower and this place came to mine. So I went back. Rather than using my tripod I rested the camera on my jumper to keep it in focus for this long exposure.
