This weekend Kay and I are staying with friends down in Bleanaven, South Wales. On the drive down last night we past Keepers Pond, but it was too dark to stop and photograph it, so this afternoon we drove back up to the summit of Blorenge at 561m for a walk around the hills. Above you can see my best photograph of the pond which was built around 1824 to provide water for Garn Ddyrys Forge near Govilon. It is probably known by this name as it was near the house of the Earl of Abergavenny’s gamekeeper.
