I enjoyed my day trip to Glasgow last June and decided to repeat the event this year. Rather than using the tourist bus to get me around the sites I wanted to photograph, my friend Bob kindly took me around his home town. The above photograph is another super-wide angle photo showing the very centre of Glasgow. George Square is named after King George III and is dominated by the ornate Glasgow City Chambers, headquarters of Glasgow City Council, which opened in 1888. As you can see there are a lot of different statues in the square, some of which don’t have names. The small plaque in the foreground of this photograph says, “James Watt 1736 – 1819 Scottish inventor and mechanical engineer.”
