I wasn’t sure what this was when I came across it apart from a very fancy looking entrance. I knew it must be part of Chester Castle but no idea what was in the castle or the surrounding buildings. Fortunately after capture the above photo lit by that gorgeous warm sun light I didn’t walk too far through the entrance. I walked up to it camera in hand thinking that it must be some sort of museum but it looked a little too official to let me walk around inside with a camera. I was right as behind this entrance is the Chester council offices.
