This colony of Grey Seals was photographed from a boat that we took from Seahouses in Northumberland over to the Farne Islands. I was going primarily to photograph the puffins, but we got reasonably close to these large and wonderful creatures and so I thought I might as well get a quick grab shot. It was taken nearly two years ago now when I only had my 135mm lens without any image stabilization. I hope to return to the Farnes in June and to improve on the above photo.
