On a photograph like the above it is difficult to know how much of the landscape to include. The focal point is the gradient road sign, but the background is just as important. This is why if I put this into a competition a judge would probably comment that it is two photographs and neither element compliments the other. However, I obviously disagree with this opinion and like the contrast. The barrier on the right is the only thing that I find a little offensive to the eye.
