Typically after spending a whole day cycling around and across the Golden Gate Bridge looking for the best view points it was one of the first I found of the day. Torpedo Wharf is just down the hill from the Golden Gate Bridge Pavilion but gives a clear view across the bay to the bridge without any other distractions in the photograph. Due to the position of the bridge across the bay, it gets foggy. In the week I was in San Francisco there was fog covering the bridge more evenings than not. Despite unpredictable weather I got the bus very early in the morning (about 5am) and made it down to the wharf before the sunrise. Having waited many years for the chance to visit San Francisco and capture a photograph like this I am very happy to be able to add this to my collection.
