My friends were outside the caravan having a smoke on Sunday night and drunkenly told me I needed to get my camera because the moon looked so big in the sky. I had had a couple of drinks but still knew that the full moon would be very small in the frame. However when I got the pictures back on the computer I was surprised at just how much detail there was in the photos. This was taken on a Nikon D300 with the 18-200mm vr lens at 200mm. Obviously I had to crop the image a great deal but it doesn’t look too bad here.
