Fiery Sunset over Northumberland

Whist spending a week based in Alnmouth, we were lucky enough to have two or three great sunsets down at the harbour. We walked down there most nights after our meal to see what we could capture of the last of the days sunlight combined with the interesting boats and reflections. I was taking some photos of “Morning Mist”, one of my favourite boats down there when I noticed hundreds of birds flying across the sky. Here I photographed the last of the sunset with a few of the straggler birds. The above photo was taken handheld on my D300 camera.
