The Falkirk Wheel is a modern, rotating boat lift in Scotland which connects the Forth and Clyde Canal with the Union Canal. This was my second visit and due to being able to drive myself I was able to get there before it opened and have the place to myself. You can see the early morning dawn light highlighting the main part of the boat lift where it rotates. I spent a while trying to work out how to avoid the fence in the foreground, but in the end the wider view gave a better photograph.
