This is the view of St. Mark’s Basilica from the top of the Campanile, which is the bell tower of the Basilica. As you can see, the bell tower gives you some of the best views over Venice. Looking in the opposite direction you can look down into the world famous St. Mark’s Square directly below. My uncle Tim had warned me not to go up on the hour as this is a bell tower, apparently he was up there when the clock struck 12 and the bells are very loud.
