Daffodil Flower

There were hundreds of daffodils in the Lake District when I was last there as it was the perfect time of the year for them. Most of my early flower photography focused on the flower head with no consideration for the backgrounds, which can be extremely distracting if not handled correctly. Well here I focused on finding a daffodil flower with the sun light shining on it, but with a stone wall a few feet behind the flower in shadow. Getting really low I was able to capture this photograph which almost looks as if I have turned the background black and white.
