Whenever I am lucky enough to visit a new city, be it a modern skyscraper filled skyline or a historical city such as Paris or in this case Rome, I always make the effort to find high ground. This was taken from the edge of the Palatine Hill looking north towards the centre. Below me, but out of this photograph, is the Roman Forum. Using a long 200mm lens makes the compression of perspective very high and so these three Church domes appear much closer than they are in reality.
