Chinese Theatre

Los Angeles was one of my less researched places on my current trip. Staying in Hollywood I was sure there would be many interesting photographs to take, I was right. The TCL Chinese Theatre wasn’t something I expected to see. It’s a historic movie theatre on the Hollywood Walk of Frame. The sidewalk in front of the building has the celebrity hand and foot prints in concrete. With the hundreds of tourists around this was impossible to photograph in the way I wished too. From the other side of Hollywood Boulevard with my 10mm wide angle lens at dusk and a bit of patience waiting for gaps in the traffic I was able to capture the whole front entrance. This is one of the few dusk / night shots taken handheld. In the evenings the sidewalks are full of tourists and taken on my first day in the States I wasn’t yet comfortable setting up my tripod.
