This cannon was photographed Whitehaven harbour on the Cumbrian coast. I felt that due to the nature of the subject it would look much better converted into a monochrome (black and white) picture. As you can see from the distinct lack of shadows it was a partially overcast day, which made it more of a challenge to capture a sharp image. To add an additional depth to the image I added a dark vignette to the edges of the frame.
