According to my guide (Tuk-tuk driver) the authorities have a ban on development and commercial activity within the Angkor Archaeological Park. This being Cambodia it seems as though this rule is fairly flexible, as there are dozens of these small noodle and snack shops around the major attractions. Pictured above is where I had breakfast one morning (banana pancake with honey) and after walking back towards the temple nearby I turned around to see this view. The way that the light streamed through the trees was magical and I knew I had to record it, to show a different side of life in the Angkor Archaeological Park.
