I prefer sharp photographs. It is always something I make a very high priority in my work. However, whilst experimenting with focus and camera settings in Hinemoa Park last weekend I captured this blurred view of Auckland. By making the lens so out of focus it has increased the size of the lights. Most of the details are lost but you can still make out part of the Auckland Harbour Bridge and the SkyTower in the background. A cool effect but every time I look at it I still keep thinking it would look better if it slowly came into focus. Who knows, maybe it’s time for me to start capturing videos.
