Going for a night shoot I like to make sure I am there before the sun sets. It is nice to walk around the area, get some ideas of where to stand and what photos I might want to take when the time is right. Dusk is a great time for long exposure photography when the sky is not yet fully black and if you get there early you can get lucky and find a lovely sunset like the one above.
Originally I was thinking about using Photoshop to clone out the distracting chimney’s in the lower right hand corner of the image, but in the end I left it as original as possible. I think that the touch of light blue in that corner also really helps the photo.
