The BBC is moving its Manchester home from here on Oxford Road, very close to my current flat, to the “Media City” up in Salford Quays. I always wondered why they don’t clean the front of this building. Here I tried to make it look as shabby as possible, but there is no editing in Photoshop apart from a simple black and white conversion. I could start the whole debate about TV licensing / tax and overpaid BBC staff / celebrities, but if they are spending millions building a new centre in the Quays and creating a lot more jobs in the area, this can’t be a bad thing. I would imagine in ten years this building will have been demolished to make way for more apartments, or for the ever expanding MMU campus across the road.
