Long time readers will remember my photograph of this castle taken back in 2007 (this can be seen below) and it is amazing what a difference the weather, and more importantly lighting, can make to your images. We were sat on the rocks on the other side of the castle taking some snaps in dull, overcast light and then it started to rain, very heavy rain for about half an hour, so we ran to the car for shelter. Then, just as quickly as it started, the rain passed over us and the sun broke through onto the castle. We jumped out of the car and ran down to the cricket pitch to get this photograph with sun on the castle, but rain clouds over the sea behind it.
