Aoraki and His Brothers Carving

This large carving hangs above the entrance of the Mount Cook Visitors Centre. It represents Aoraki and his brothers. Aoraki is the Maori name for the mountain. You should be able to make out six figures on the carving. The largest one in the centre represents Mount Cook (the largest mountain). The others represent the nearby peaks.
