Just under a month ago I finally managed to get a photograph of the B of the Bang sculpture which I am happy to show you. The previous image had been taken at night and to me, that seemed the best way to record it…until now. The above image of the sculpture is my favourite yet, taken last week just before going into the Nikon roadshow event. The orange / red colour of the spikes shows up extremely well against a deep blue sky. To take this, I was a lot closer than in my previous shot – looking much more up at it rather than on the other side of the road and I was stood on a completely different side of the sculpture. It is very strange how the colours came out. The above photograph was taken hand held and the colours (although enhanced a little) look completely different to the ones in the photograph below, taken at night on a tripod a few weeks back. I would be very interested to hear some feedback in the comments as to which you prefer from these two photographs of exactly the same thing?
