The BIG Battle of Nantwich

The BIG Battle of Nantwich
Another day out with my camera, can you believe it?! I would say this is probably the busiest bank holiday Monday weekend of the year for events and I wanted to make the most of it photography wise. I chose to go to a one-off event at Nantwich celebrating the Holly Holy Day, which commerates the famous 1644 Battle of Nantwich. Every January they hold a re-enactment of the Civil War battle in the town. This year they put on a special version called “The BIG Battle of Nantwich”. A unique event for Nantwich featuring hundreds of troops, horses, cannons and muskets. The above photograph shows a small group of men firing their muskets at their opposition; you can only imagine the sounds that these things made.
