The Eiffel Tower is certainly the symbol of Paris if not one of the most famous structures in France. This was again taken back in 2005 but hadn’t been published on here until now. At the time Paris was bidding for the 2012 Olympic Games. A couple of weeks after this was taken it was announced that London had won the Olympic bid. Obviously I will have to go back as soon as I can to retake this image without the distracting logo, although I love the extreme angle on the tower, it makes for a very graphic black and white photograph.

The above photo was captured in 2005 from a boat trip I took along the River Seine in Paris. It shows one of many very ornate details on the bridge. Sadly, due to time constraints, I have no idea which particular bridge this is, but I am sure one of you might be able to work it out for me. Please let me know if you have any further information about this picture in the comments below. Thank you.

One of my first street photographs, this shows a Parisian man cycling along the banks of the River Seine. I still have no idea if this is wood or something protected in cardboard that seems to be strapped to his bike, but this and the bright yellow bag on his back really caught my eye. It wasn’t one of my favourite images captured in Paris, but certainly one of the most special little moments.

OK, the last photograph of Paris for a while but how could I publish a set of images from such a famous city without showing you a picture taken from the top of the Eiffel Tower. It is very interesting to me how the light worked, the clouds were really low and dark but for some reason the buildings have sunlight on them, I only wish this picture had been captured on digital RAW format as I would have been able to perfectly expose and correct the light in all the buildings. Still I find it an interesting photograph of the city.
