I was sat having a coffee at a lovely place we know in Cheadle village. Sat at the window on a Saturday morning and watching the world go by. I noticed that not only was there a nice big pink rose flower in the centre of the table, but the large window made this rose light up and I thought it needed to be captured. It has been far to long since I have done flower photography.

My flower photographs are often extremely popular on the internet and so I thought it was worth sharing this pink rose flower. Unfortunately I don’t know what type or species this rose is. If any experts wish to tell me in the comments below it would be really appreciated. The light from the sun and the low angle really helps give a three dimensional look to this picture. That coupled with the very soft, out of focus background.

Close up photographs of flowers like this are extremely popular in the print market. Whenever I find myself in a home furnishings store I always make the time to look at the canvas prints and framed photographs to see what is popular. The problem with this image is the dark triangle on the right side of the frame. Still I liked the colour and texture enough to look past this and want to share it with you.

These coastal rocks were very sharp and difficult to climb around, so after a very unrewarding and slightly dangerous clamber around looking for rock pools I sat back down on the grass to take in the view. Seeing these bright pink flowers by my feet I knew there could be a photograph there, so using a large aperture to give a very shallow depth of field I focused on the flowers (throwing the background into a blur) and captured the above image
