St Margaret’s Anglican Church in London is situated on the grounds of Westminster Abbey on Parliament Square. Taken at around sunset I was able to position Big Ben in the background with the church in the foreground. Again, the perspective here is making the church seem much bigger than Big Ben, which it is not. Sadly I have never been inside this church, although I would like to explore. I get the impression that many tourists are so focused on the House’s of Parliament, Big Ben and the London Eye that they almost ignore this church which in my opinion is very sad.

The Tate Modern is an art gallery which is based in the former Bankside Power Station (hence the particularly unflattering exterior). That said it is one of the most visited modern art galleries in the world with just under 5 million visitors per year. I had been to this area of London to photograph the Cathedral and bridge over the Thames River but I have yet to go inside this gallery. Maybe next time I am in London I will spend a bit of time taking in the culture rather than just sticking to photography!

This clock is over 150 years old and first ticked on the 31st May 1859. Since then it has been an icon of the capital city, London. I took this photograph from the opposite bank of the River Thames.

In the background (the other side of the water) you can see St. Paul’s Cathedral. This image was one of the first few taken with my new Sigma 10-20mm lens over two years ago. I must go back to London as soon as possible.
