Where's the Mole? Scarecrow at Wrenbury by Ed OKeeffe

This afternoon I visited the lovely little village of Wrenbury in Cheshire. It was recommended to me as it has a very interested scarecrow competition throughout the village this week. There were close to 130 entries to the contest, which was organized by the local primary school. There were some very funny and well thought out entries and it gave a very strong sense of a community throughout the village.

Sunset over M56 - South Manchester by Ed OKeeffe

Today the weather was stunning. I live in Manchester so I expect it to rain quite a lot but tonight I was sat outside watching the sunset at nine o’clock in a t-shirt. Finally it feels like summer has arrived. I actually went to the Manchester Airport viewing area, which I have been meaning to do for well over a year. I live so close to the airport and feel that I should have some plane photographs. Well, I got there just before nine and the gates were being locked which was really disappointing. But when I turned back around to go home, I saw this!

Today I was lucky enough to go on a photo walk around Hare Hill and Alderley Edge. Hare Hill is an interesting walled garden and charming woodland. There were huge flower displays and lots of interesting walks around the gardens. I then took the two-mile walk over Cheshire country side towards Alderley Edge, I didn’t actually get to the edge as I had to get home to work but it was a nice afternoon out and I got numerous photographs.
