Coniston Jetty at Dawn

I was very keen to try to get a night shoot in my 24 hours in the Lake District. I had seen photographs from this jetty taken at night and wanted to see if I could put my own spin on the subject. Man launching boat on Coniston

Coniston Launch Ferry

Coniston Launch runs regular scheduled cruises across and around Lake Coniston in the Lake District National Park. Although on this very early spring sailing it wasn’t overly popular, that said it was twenty past five in the afternoon so they might have just been packing up for the day. This ferry is the Campbell boat, named after Donald Campbell who tragically died on the lake in 1966 attempting to break the world speed record in Bluebird.
